Make plans now for the Buffalo River Cleanup & Paddle – April 23, 2017

Celebrate National Park Week and Earth Day by volunteering to clean up Buffalo National River! Participants can meet at Pruitt Landing, 5 miles north of Jasper, at 10 AM on Sunday, April 23rd.

Participants will float 7 miles from Pruitt Landing to Hasty. Please arrange boat rentals and shuttles ahead of time through local concessioners (see “Upper River” options at this link:https://www.nps.gov/buff/canoe-rentals.htm). Trash bags and grabbers will be provided for volunteers. Participants should bring drinking water, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing/footwear. All children 12 and younger are required to wear a personal flotation device (PFD) at all times while in a boat.
